Nov 06, 2020 (newstodate): During the first 10 months of this year, Finnair's total cargo volumes remained down 60.5 percent, y-o-y, as a result of the sustained Covid-19 pandemic.
A total of 57,164 tonnes of cargo was thus lifted by the carrier including 40,696 tonnes on scheduled flights and 16,468 tonnes of all-cargo flights.
In October 2020 alone, volumes were down 70 percent, y-o-y, to 5,037 tonnes of which 2,289 tonnes on all-cargo flights.
On the slightly positive side, the total cargo tonnes were up by 26.1 percent from September 2020 due to continued strong demand for cargo capacity.
As a result, the cargo load factor was still clearly higher than in the corresponding period of 2019.
