Nov 12, 2020 (newstodate): The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration has now made a final decision about state subsidies for domestic flights for the next three years.
The subsidies for scheduled flights will be shared between two airlines – Eagle Air and Norlandair.
Eagle Air will be operating the route from Reykjavík city airport to Hofn on the south-east of Iceland, while Norlandair has been allocated two routes from Reykjavík to airports in Western Fjords: Bíldudalur and Gjogur
The subsidies will take effect from 16 November 16, 2020.
