Nov 16, 2020 (newstodate): The Faroese carrier Atlantic Airways is seeing opportunities for reopening direct flights to Norway.
According to the Faroese media Local.fo, plans are on the table for reopening flights on the route, now suspended during the Covid-19 outbreak, between Vagar Airport and Bergen Airport.
The route is especially targeting the much-needed transport of people working in the Norwegian offshore oil and gas industry, as well as maritime staff employed in Norway's commercial marine.
If realized and permitted by the authorities under the current travel restrictions regime, frequency will probably be restrained to one weekly rotation.
