Nov 10, 2020 (newstodate): Living a life in seclusion, little is heard from Airstar 4 A/S registered in December 2019.
The company is considered to become a future capacity provider to SAS that will need to invest in an aircraft type filling a gap after phasing out Airbus A319 and Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
The future aircraft to enter the fleet of Airstar 4 will presumably offer capacity for 110-140 passengers, with the Airbus A220-300 a strong contender.
Airstar 4 has already negotiated own agreements with the Danish union FPU, but during the fight for survival in times of Covid-19 the development of the new capacity provider have been put on hold.
In the meantime, SAS' needs for smaller aircraft on regional routes are covered by contracts with CityJet and Xfly operating CRJ900 aircraft
