Nov 13, 2020 (newstodate): Plans by Norway's Farsund Aircraft Storage to launch business at Norway's Farsund Lista Airport are gaining pace.
-We have started to move equipment such as Push-back tractors, stairs and other vehicles, and we are settling the issue with Avinor for airspace for the coming users of Lista Airport.
-The current round of public hearing expires by December 28, and we should be ready to accept the first aircraft for storage by February 2021, says Ragnvald Brobakken, Aeroconsult, that is supporting the initiative
-While only storage is offered, the new company will work with partners including the Icelandic EASA part 145-approved maintenance company Arctic Maintenance as well as the Icelandic company GMT, Ground Maintenance Technics that can provide wrapping of aircraft for protection on long-term storage says Mr Brobakken, adding the interest from many airlines is convincing.
