Nov 20, 2020 (newstodate): Hungry for sunlight, private individuals have arranged the first flight from Helsinki to the Canary Islands.
   The flight operated by an Airbus A321neo chartered from Iberia Express lifted off from Helsinki on November 19, 2020, with a cabin full of happy sun lovers including 200 passengers, eight dogs and two cats!
   Behind the initiative are facebook groups forming "friends of the Canary Islands" that grew tired of the sustained absence of flights after Finnair and Norwegian cancelled all flights until at least January 2021.
