Oct 01, 2020 (newstodate): Long-haul flights are gradually opening up on the winter 2020/21 schedule of SAS.
On September 29, 2020, the carrier returned flights on its route between Copenhagen and Shanghai with a modest program of one weekly rotation that will be increased to three weekly rotations from December 1, 2020.
The airline's second China-bound route will launch on October 24, 2020, heading for Beijing also with one weekly rotation from the start and due to increase to two weekly rotations from November 30.
Starting from October 27, 2020, flights to Tokyo Haneda Airport will commence with two weekly rotations, going up to three weekly flights from December 6, 2020.
On the North Atlantic lanes, SAS will operate five weekly flights to Chicago and seven weekly flights to Newark Airport; two weekly and from December 1 four weekly rotations to San Francisco as well as two weekly rotations from Copenhagen to Washington, going up to three weekly flights from December 4, 2020.
