Oct 12, 2020 (newstodate): Effective from October 2020, Jimi Daniel Hansen is WFS VP Operational Excellence - heading a new department focusing on continuous improvement.
Mr Hansen will thus be responsible for setting up a WFS Operational Excellence network in partnership with all WFS operations teams, focusing on optimizing and standardizing the operational processes and tools to ensure a unified level of service excellence across the entire EMEAA WFS network.
-Global economic factors have weakened the air cargo market environment, and we expect those conditions to persist for the foreseeable future, WFS states.
-Every change in the market affects how a company operates and performs. The new department Excellence Operational comes at the right time to help create a culture that promotes improvement and sustainable long-term growth. It will support the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
WFS identifies two pillars in the new approach: one is workforce optimization in driving process simplification in warehouse and back-office to streamline the business, reduce duplication and avoidable complexity; another is standardization & continuous improvement including adapting the organization to better fit with its needs - each station must thus develop a clear performance improvement
roadmap.
-The OE program will be rolled out in a spirit of teamwork to ensure bottom-up involvement, ownership by local managers, and the development of a positive continuous improvement mindset and culture of operational discipline driven by guiding principles of integrity, questioning attitude, always problem-solving, daily continuous improvement mindset, teamwork, and process driven, WFS states.
