Oct 29, 2020 (newstodate): Following an audit, WFS Denmark successfully completed the annual renewal of its GDP, Good Distribution Practices, Pharma certification process on October 8, 2020.
The audit was performed by the Swiss company SGS' Danish subsidiary, SGS Denmark.
With the certification reconfirmed, WFS Denmark is thus fully prepared for handling of the sustained and even growing flow of pharma shipments at its dedicated 1,500 sq m Pharma Terminal at Copenhagen Airport.
The Pharma Terminal was officially opened on September 3, 2019, offering the capacity of providing temperature-controlled end-to-end handling of 300 pallets and 30 PMCs in the 2-8 degrees range, in addition to the capacity of providing temperature-controlled handling space in the 15-25 degrees range at other parts of the cargo terminals.
In addition, WFS Denmark has launched a project to expand its pharma handling capacity at Copenhagen Airport in response to increasing volumes of temperature-sensitive shipments from the Scandinavian pharma industries, handled by WFS Denmark at the airport.
The expanded facilities are reportedly to be commissioned by 2022.
