Oct 20, 2020 (newstodate): The drastic and sustained fall in traffic at Copenhagen Airport is also taking a heavy toll on the handling companies.
A latest proof is provided by Aviator Airport Services Denmark that has filed for protection to allow for restructuring which will comprise working out a new business plan to be presented to creditors in the coming few weeks.
-No efforts will be spared to cut procedures and activities that are not economically viable, the company says in a release.
Already this summer, Aviator cut down on workforce while still expecting to have the means to get through the ongoing crisis - which proved not to be the case in the sustained traffic shortfall.
At Copenhagen Airport, Aviator provides baggage and ground handling for some 30 companies including Emirates and the Lufthansa Group carriers.
