Oct 15, 2020 (newstodate): The Finnish pilot training institute Patria has secured a five-year agreement with Qatar Airways for ab initio training of new pilots.
The pilot training program spanning 18 months starts out with theoretical studies at Patria's facility in Finland, followed by 70 hours basic flight training in Cordoba, Spain.
After completion of this phase, student move to Finland for training at Patria's Airbus A320 training facility, followed by training at Finnair Flight Academy's Full Flight Simulator at Helsinki Airport.
The program is run under the Patria Multi-Crew Pilot License program tailored to Qatar Airways to meet the airline's specific needs for Airbus aircraft type training.
