Oct 30, 2020 (newstodate): While established airlines are close to suffocating due to collapse in the air transport markets, new ventures see opportunities opening.
Two new airlines are seeking AOCs in Lithuania, one regional yet-unnamed carrier is under formation in Norway - and in Denmark news are out about Airseven, planning to introduce charter flights in summer 2021.
Behind Airseven are Carsten Jensen and Klaus Ren who will be Airseven CEO and well-known from his career as Jet Time founder, President and CEO for nearly 10 years until January 2016.
Airseven will take delivery of its first two aircraft before the end of this year - both Boeing 737-400 aircraft logging about 30 years of service and placed on the AOC of its partner, Copenhagen Air Taxi undertaking operations and maintenance.
Behind the new carrier is Danish tour operator Primo Tours in addition to a number of private risk-willing investors.
From May 2021, Airseven will start out with charter flights for tour operators Primo Tours, Aarhus Charter and SunCharter to South European leisure destinations.
