Oct 13, 2020 (newstodate): With the first flight on October 1½2, 2020, the Chinese carrier Juneyao Airlines launched a new route to Finland's Helsinki Airport.
The carrier is now offering flights on the route between Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport and Helsinki Airport with one weekly rotation using Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
With the route opening that is also China's first new intercontinental route in 2020, Helsinki has become the Chinese airport's second European destination, alongside London served by China Southern Airlines.
Juneyao Airlines launched flights between Shanghai and Helsinki as its first European destination on June 28, 2019, with daily rotations during the summer schedule and three weekly rotations during the winter schedule - and currently down to one weekly flight due to Covid-19.
