Oct 08, 2020 (newstodate): Mikko Tainio's time as Finnair Cargo's Managing Director proved a rather brief interlude only.
Announcing his retreat from the position on his LinkedIn profile, Mr Tainio announced his decision to leave Finnair after close to 16 years of service, serving with Finnair Cargo only from August 2019, and now moving on to a position effective from November 1, 2020, as SVP of Public Partnerships at Terveystalo, a Finnish hospital and health company.
- Passing the torch of Finnair Cargo now on to the great team of Fredrik Wildtgrube, Tommi Voss, Karri Kauppi, Ari Soinola and my eventual successor, is Mr Tainio's farewell message on LinkedIn.
At Finnair Cargo, Mikko Tainio succeeded Janne Tarvainen who left the company to take up the position as CEO of the Finnish regional carrier Norra.
