Oct 15, 2020 (newstodate): With September's cargo statistics, Latvia's Riga Airport is once again showing positive growth figures.
The airport thus handled a total of 2,148 tonnes of cargo in September, an increase by 5.7 percent, y-o-y, after reporting waning volumes in February-August 2020.
Still, there is a long way to go for the airport where volumes in the first nine months of 2021 are still down 19.4 percent, to 16,007 tonnes.
Noticeably, mail volumes that earlier played a leading role in cargo at Riga Airport are now down to only one-third of the total in September 2020, reflecting the growth in the airport's volumes of incoming e-trade shipments and related traffic by Atran Airlines and Eleron.
