Jan 31, 2020 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport is to add a new destination: Sofia, in Bulgaria, to its route network in this summer.
   Starting from June 3, 2020, WIZZ Air will commence flights on the route between the two destinations, offering two weekly rotations on the routes with Airbus A320 aircraft.
    The route to Sofia will become WIZZ Air's 11th route at Billund Airport where flights are already offered to Vienna from November 18, 2018, Tuzla from October 31, 2016, Vilnius from September 14, 2015, Gdansk since June 19, 2015, Krakow from May 3, 2019, Warsaw since March 27, 2017, Bucharest from December 12, 2016, Cluj-Napoca from July 22, 2015, Iasi from April 30, 2018, and Kiev from March 2019.
   Wizz Air has thusw been present at Billund Airport since June 19, 2015, starting out the route between Billund and Gdansk, in Poland.
