Jan 17, 2020 (newstodate): Helsinki Airport handled a total of 229,532 tonnes of cargo in 2019 - a strong increase by 13.4 percent, y-o-y.
   Of the total volume 219,817 tonnes were international cargo that secured the over-all cargo growth by an increase by 14 percent, and international mail volumes also increased by 3.5 percent to 8,015 tonnes.
   Together, domestic cargo and mail volumes in 2019 dropped 2.6 percent to only 1,700 tonnes, mainly due to a steep fall by 60.4 percent in the mail sector.
