Jan 23, 2020 (newstodate): Few European airlines are online at China's Wuhan Airport where most air traffic has now been cancelled due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Only British Airways and Air France offer scheduled flights from London and Paris, respectively, and today's BA departure from Wuhan is currently "delayed" and may be cancelled, while AF managed to land at Wuhan this morning, with the return flight in question.
In the Nordic region, neither SAS nor Finnair offer direct flights to Wuhan.
In August 2019, sources claimed that the Chinese airline Tianjin Airlines had applied for three weekly slots at Helsinki Airport for the coming winter 2019/20 schedule.
The carrier was also said to be planning flights to Keflavik, on Iceland, as an extension of the route from Wuhan to Helsinki.
In either case, the carrier has so far not taken further steps towards the Nordic region.
