Jan 10, 2020 (newstodate): The Romanian budget airline Blue Air is planing for expansion of its network in summer 2020.
Among a spree of new routes announced by the carrier, Blue Air will launch flights from Bacau to Copenhagen and Oslo, to be opened by mid-June, with frequencies and concrete start-up dates to be announced shortly.
The carrier made its debut in Scandinavia on June 4, 2016, with three weekly flights to Stockholm, Sweden, adding from June 2, 2017, flights from Bucharest to Copenhagen, Denmark, with three weekly rotations using Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
Norway's Oslo Airport got its first-ever direct connection to Romania as Blue Air took off on the first flight on the route from Bucharest to Oslo on June 15, 2017, also offering three weekly rotation with Boeing 737 aircraft.
In the fleet of Blue Air are 23 Boeing 737 aircraft including 12 Boeing 737-800, plus deliveries pending for eight Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
