Block Hours increased from 54,000 to 63,800, and the carrier's crucial On Time Performance improved by almost five percent, lifting the turn-over by 25 percent in 2019.
In 2019, the carrier's fleet expanded to 24 aircraft including 16 Airbus A320 aircraft, with one A320 operating for SmartLynx Malta and eight for SmartLynx Airlines Estonia, as well as eight Airbus A321.
SmartLynx Malta obtained its Maltese AOC on April 19, 2019 and landed its Canadian Foreign Air Operator Certificate in October, allowing it to expand into the North American market with charter and ACMI services.
