Jan 08, 2020 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's Sigma Airlines has added its first Boeing 747 freighter to the fleet.
In the air since January 2017, the privately-owned carrier took delivery on December 23, 2019, of a Boeing 747-200 converted freighter, earlier operated by Kalitta Air and acquired on a two-year lease contract, adding to its fleet of four IL-76T/TD and one Airbus A300B4F aircraft.
In 2019, the carrier was granted a TCO certificate by EASA, allowing it to operate into EU airspace.
