Jan 22, 2020 (newstodate): Latvia's Riga Airport will have three airlines offering direct flights to Tel Aviv, in Israel, in summer 2020.
Latest newcomer to the route from summer 2020 will be the Israeli carrier Israir, introducing two weekly rotations on the route using Airbus A320 aircraft from May 25 till September 25, 2020.
Already serving the route is the Latvian carrier airBaltic since summer 2012, and the Hungarian LCC Wizz Air with the first flight on June 20, 2016.
It is not the first call at Riga Airport for Israir that started flights from Tel Aviv already in 2003 - but pulled out again after a short, unsuccessful period.
