Jan 31, 2020 (newstodate): China-bound traffic is a key driver at Finland's Helsinki Airport - but the current issue with Corona virus in China has brought most of the flights to suspension.
Finnair has suspended its three weekly flights between Helsinki and Beijing Daxing International Airport between February 5 and March 29, 2020, and its two weekly flights between Helsinki and Nanjing between February 8 and March 29, 2020.
However, Finnair will continue operating daily flights from Helsinki to Beijing Capital Airport, and to Shanghai, twice daily to Hong Kong, and twice weekly to Guangzhou.
Among the Chinese carriers operating at Helsinki Airport, Tibet Airlines has suspended flights on its route between Jinan and Helsinki served once weekly, planning to start operating again from March 30, 2020.
Sichuan Airlines has also cancelled flights on its route served twice-weekly between Chengdu and Helsinki.
The status of Juneyao Airlines offering daily flights between Shanghai and Helsinki is not available to newstodate at this moment.
