Jan 29, 2020 (newstodate): Facing the effects from the spread of the Corona virus in China, Finnair is now announcing a temporary stop to some of its Chinese routes.
Finnair is thus cancelling its three weekly flights between Helsinki and Beijing Daxing International Airport between February 5 and March 29, 2020, and its two weekly flights between Helsinki and Nanjing between February 8 and March 29, 2020.
However, Finnair will continue operating daily flights from Helsinki to Beijing Capital Airport, and to Shanghai, twice daily to Hong Kong, and twice weekly to Guangzhou.
The decision to temporarily suspend flights to Beijing Daxing and Nanjing is also prompted by China's recent suspension of all group travel from China which has a pronounced impact on the load factors of Finnair's Beijing Daxing and Nanjing flights.
