Sep 04, 2019 (newstodate): With a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony and an informal gathering of stakeholders and representatives from WFS and Copenhagen Airport, the pharma industry and the cargo community, the WFS Pharma Centre was officially opened on September 3, 2019.
The new Pharma Centre has the capacity of providing temperature-controlled end-to-end handling of 300 pallets and 30 PMCs in the 2-8 degrees range, in addition to the capacity of providing temperature-controlled handling space in the 15-25 degrees range at other parts of the cargo terminals.
The facility is equipped with six ramps and cargo doors, two cool rooms, as well as dedicated rooms for AVi and RRY storage, and has direct access to the apron.
The IATA CEIV certification process of the new facility is moving ahead, with GDP certification by HSA expected already by October 2019, as an intermediate step.
The WFS Pharma Centre is integrated within WFS Denmark, since August 1, 2019, headed by Jack Brandstrup as General Manager Scandinavia.
