Sep 03, 2019 (newstodate): After a 25 years hiatus, SAS is returning flights on the route between Copenhagen and Los Angeles.
The company has announced the opening of year-round flights on the route from January 13, 2020, with six weekly rotations going up to daily flights from March 31, 2020.
Copenhagen Airport thus replaces Stockholm Airport on the route map of SAS that launched Stockholm-Los Angeles flights on March 14, 2016.
SAS last served Los Angeles with flights from Copenhagen, Denmark, until 1994.
Stockholm will not, however, be cut off from direct non-stop flights to Los Angeles as this route is also served by Norwegian on a seasonal basis since March 2013, while Norwegian's seasonal flights between Copenhagen and Los Angeles have been suspended for this coming winter season.
