Sep 13, 2019 (newstodate): AirBridgeCargo is returning its freighter services to Oslo Airport.
According to sources in the market, services be resumed with two weekly flights, coming into Oslo from London Luton Airport and continuing to Seoul and Hong Kong.
The service will, however, be operated by ABC's partner company CargoLogicAir, registered in the UK and not, like ABC, in Russia.
In July 2019, Russia abruptly enforced a long-standing, yet unnoticed restriction on transiting seafood through Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, forcing AirBridgeCargo to find alternatives to its freighter service at Oslo Airport.
A temporary solution was found in routing the flights from Oslo to Seoul via Karaganda Airport in Kazakhstan for re-fuelling. But this came to a dead end as well, leaving the service ground for a period.
