Sep 26, 2019 (newstodate): On the brink of total collapse, the Slovenian carrier Adria Airways has been granted one last week to come up with a convincing reconstruction plan.
The plan would both require commitments from new investors as well as new aircraft lease agreements.
The Slovenian state has made it unambiguously clear that if these conditions are not met by October 2, 2019, the airline will have its AOC revoked and all licences withdrawn.
After suspending all flights for two days, Adria airways will also stay on the round for another two days after the airline has seen its CRJ900 lease contracts with AeroCentury Corp. suspended and two aircraft repossessed by the lessor with warning over the fate of the remaining third aircraft.
Resumption of services will therefore depend on the carrier's ability to source alternative aircraft.
