Sep 09, 2019 (newstodate): Norwegian has its eyes focussed on the crucial date of September 16, 2019, when investors will decide whether to extend the maturities of the company's 345 million euro debt for two years.
This is not, however, blinding Norwegian's visions when it comes to further expansion of its South American route network.
According to sources in the market, the airline is already in negotiations with several Latin American governments, including Brazil, to start operating new flights as soon as possible.
Today, Norwegian operates direct flights connecting London to Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, and with approvals granted the company will soon start flights between Madrid and Buenos Aires, as well as to Lima, in Peru.
In addition to this, negotiations are progressing for launch of services between London and Puerto Iguazu, ans talks are being conducted for opening flights between Argentina and USA.
But - September 16, 2019, still remains a crucial corner to turn for Norwegian
