Sep 05, 2019 (newstodate): Poland is to see ever-growing low-cost expansion in the market next summer.
Wizz Air has thus announced plans for allocating four more aircraft to its bases in Poland, aiming at the launch of new routes from Gdansk, Krakow and Warsaw, including flights to Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger, Haugesund, and Tromso, as well as an increase in frequencies on a number of existing routes.
In total, the number of additional weekly flights will increase by 24 to reach a total of 73.
Ryanair will also be on the move in summer 2020, with a total of 11 additional aircraft based at Polish airports, bringing the fleet in Poland to 35 aircraft.
This will facilitate the opening of 27 new routes out of Poland, including flights from Katowice to Oslo and Gothenburg, and increasing frequencies on existing routes.
