Sep 12, 2019 (newstodate): Five years at Oslo Airport have secured Emirates SkyCargo a strong position in Norway's seafood air logistics.
Emirates performed its first passenger flight operation at Oslo Airport on September 2, 2014, since then offering between five and seven rotations on the route between Dubai and Oslo with Boeing 777-300 aircraft providing 238 tonnes of weekly lower-deck capacity to the market.
Emirates later added a scheduled weekly freighter operation between Oslo and Dubai, with the first flight on October 11, 2016, and periodically going up to two weekly rotations.
Summing up, Emirates SkyCargo in 2019 celebrates its 5th year at Oslo Airport, having lifted over 105,000 tonnes of cargo to and from Norway since the start of its operations in the country, including some 62,000 tonnes of Norwegian seafood destined for markets across the Middle East and Asia.
Emirates SkyCargo is handled by Menzies at Oslo Airport while sales and marketing of the cargo products are in the hands of Scanpartners Int'l.
