Sep 03, 2019 (newstodate): The Danish regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital exited its latest fiscal year with record-high earnings.
The year ending 30th June 30, 2019, was the company's 23rd year of consecutive profitability; total revenue increased by 21 percent, and lease revenue increased by 17 percent.
During 2018/19, NAC increased its fleet by 43 aircraft to 480, while announcing two new orders at the Paris Air Show for over 100 ATR and Airbus aircraft.
In the fleet of aircraft owned or managed by NAC are thus now seven Airbus A220, 156 ATR 72, 23 Bombardier CRJ900/1000, 33 Bombardier Dash 8, 27 Embraer E170/E175, and 144 Embraer E190/E195 aircraft.
In Paris, NAC signed a MoU with Airbus for the acquisition of 20 A220 Family aircraft, and an LoI with ATR for delivery of up to over 100 ATR72-600 aircraft including firm orders for 35 ATR72-600, with options for a further 35 and purchase rights for another 35 aircraft.
According to a table, generated by FlightAscend Consultancy and comprising the world's 30 top aircraft leasing companies, NAC was ranked #5.
