Aug 28, 2019 (newstodate): Cargo volumes on Russian carriers dropped by 3.5 percent, y-o-y, during January-July, 2019.
A total of 623,359 tonnes of cargo was carried, against 645,702 tonnes the year before.
Among the 35 carriers on the list, #1 AirBridgeCargo lifted 313,623 tonnes, down 5.7 percent, y-o-y, #2 Aeroflot carried 118,672 tonnes and down one percent, #3 Pobeda lifted 28,191 tonnes and up 38.3 percent, #4 Sibir carried 19,943 tonnes and up 8.3 percent, while #5 Rossiya carried 19,669 tonnes, also up 15.2 percent, y-o-y.
While down 1.6 percent, y-o-y, in joint volumes, the five airlines still accounted for 79.7 percent of all cargo on Russian airlines during the first half of 2019, corresponding to 419,548 tonnes of cargo.
Earlier ranking on the top-5 list, Volga-Dnepr is now relegated to #12 with "only" 8,650 tonnes of cargo during H1/2019, dropping 42.2 percent, y-o-y.
Also member of the Volga-Dnepr Group is Atran that is ranked #11 with 9,530 tonnes, rising 37.7 percent, y-o-y, during the seven months of 2019.
