Aug 29, 2019 (newstodate): At least one airline, besides Aeroflot, is staying loyal to the Sukhoi Superjet 100: Azimuth Airlines.
The Russian carrier has inked a fresh agreement with the Russian leasing company State Transport Leasing Company, GTLK, comprising a further two Superjet 100 aircraft to be delivered from October 2019, entering commercial service one month later.
Azimuth is unique in operating an all-Superjet aircraft fleet, to total 11 units after the coming additions.
Performing its first commercial operation in September 2017, Azimuth Airlines obtained its AOC from Rosaviatsia on August 20, 2017, starting out with four Superjet 100 aircraft in the fleet.
