Aug 14, 2019 (newstodate): Volumes generated by Norway's seafood exporters are today served by seven air cargo airlines - with a newcomer to be announced shortly.
   Today, Korean Air is serving Oslo Airport with two weekly flights, returning the 3rd frequency from September 21, 2019.
   Qatar Cargo, today the most frequent caller, operates four weekly flights; Emirates SkyCargo operates two weekly flights; CAL operates two weekly flights; Turkish Cargo operates two to three weekly flights, and Air Cargo Global operates two weekly flights.
   Recently, a focus has been on AirBridgeCargo that ran into an unforeseen enforcement of a Russian ban on transiting seafood through Russian airports, forcing the carrier to temporarily reduce its schedule at Oslo Airport from three to two weekly flights that are now routed via Kazakhstan for technical stop and re-fuelling.
   According to an industry source, a yet-unannounced new operator will launch two weekly freighter flights from the start of September 2019, taking the number of weekly freighter operations at Oslo Airport to around 20.
