Aug 05, 2019 (newstodate): The Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways, the country's largest, is eyeing the Balkan markets for new scheduled flights.
This summer the carrier will perform a small series of charter flights from Tokyo and Osaka to Ljubljana in Slovenia and to Dubrovnik in Croatia, all operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
At the same time, talks are being conducted between Japan and the two governments to pave the road for opening of scheduled flights pending inking of new air services agreements.
According to ANA, traffic volumes on routes between Japan and the two Balkan markets are sufficient to warrant establishing direct air links.
