Aug 16, 2019 (newstodate): The privately-owned Danish provider of global aircraft wheel and brake services TP Aerospace will become fully paperless by 2020.
Currently relying on barcode scanning at each stage in the process from the receipt of the component and its maintenance to closing the order after the final check, TP Aerospace will completely eliminate paperwork throughout the entire cycle of maintenance and repair, transmitting instead all pertinent information by direct data entry.
The new paperless system will be implemented first in the company’s branch in Brisbane, followed by the company's repair centres in Malaysia, Thailand and the UK.
With HQs at Copenhagen Airport, Denmark, TP Aerospace currently operates facilities in USA, Germany, UAE, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and the UK, with plans to open 11 new subsidiaries around the world in 2020.
