Aug 27, 2019 (newstodate): FlyBosnia, set up in 2017, is making final preparations for launch of its first European route.
Bookings have been opened for flights between Sarajevo and London Luton Airport from September 24, 2019, with three weekly rotations using Airbus A319 aircraft, but planning for daily rotations at a later stage.
After repeated delays, the carrier obtained its AOC on January 11, 2019, and is currently operating flights to Riyadh, Jeddah, Bahrain, and Kuwait, while regular flights to Rome and Paris are expected to open in the next three months.
In the fleet are two Airbus A319 aircraft, but a LoI has been signed with AerCap for a further two Airbus A319 before the end of this year, and plans are to grow the fleet further to eight aircraft by 2023.
Behind the carrier is the al-Shiddi Group, the largest Saudi investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina and operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2006
