Jul 29, 2019 (newstodate): WFS has seen its business expanding at Copenhagen Airport in 2019.
Latest new carrier on the handling company's roster is LATAM Cargo now offering a weekly flight with a Boeing 767-300 freighter since June 20, 2019, bringing wide-body freighter operations back to Copenhagen Airport.
But as admitted in WFS Denmark's latest newsletter, the handling provider has faced severe challenges in its operations over the last few months affecting its quality of services.
Contributing to the company's problems has been the construction of the coming new Pharma Terminal that is blocking part of the area for reception and handling of the shipments.
To remedy the situation, WFS has now rented an extra 4,700 sq m space in the former Novia Cargo Handling Terminal and expects to return to normal conditions by the end of August 2019.
With effect from September 1, 2019, WFS has also appointed Andreas Schultz as Quality Manager, and added a new position as Warehouse Supervisor to optimize the production flow by coordinating daily operations.
