Jul 01, 2019 (newstodate): Sweden is to get its first direct scheduled air link to Georgia in 2020.
Starting from July 1, 2020, Wizz Air will be operating flights from Stockholm Skavsta Airport to Kutaisi, with two weekly rotations using Airbus A320 aircraft.
With the opening of the new route to Kutaisi, Wizz Air will be operating flights to 11 destinations at Stockholm Skavsta Airport.
During this summer schedule, Georgia's 2nd most busy airport, Kutaisi International Airport will have flights to and from 28 destinations.
One leading European LCC at Kutaisi is Wizz Air that is already connecting Georgia with Baltic destinations including Riga in Latvia since March 25, 2018, Vilnius, in Lithuania, since March 31, 2014, and starting from August 4, 2019, Wizz Air will be operating scheduled flights to Kutaisi from Tallinn Airport, in Estonia.
Starting from September 2019, Kutaisi International Airport will also get a direct air link with Denmark as Wizz Air launches flights on the route between Copenhagen and Kutaisi.
