Jul 30, 2019 (newstodate): After only a few years of services from Riga to Keflavik, the Latvian carrier airBaltic has developed a taste for Iceland.
The carrier's schedule for flights to Iceland in 2019 comprises three weekly rotations between Riga and Keflavik from June 3, ending with the last flight on August 26, 2019.
But airBaltic has now extended the program to continue until January 31, 2020, and restarting again already on March 3, 2020 thus approaching year-round services.
Frequency will, however, be reduced to two weekly rotations during October-January.
airBaltic made its debut on Iceland with the opening flight on May 28, 2016, offering two weekly rotations with Boeing 737-300 aircraft, replaced by Airbus A220-300 aircraft from this summer schedule.
