Jun 19, 2019 (newstodate): From big to bigger: the world's leading turboprop leasing company Nordic Aviation Capital has signed an LoI with ATR for delivery of up to over 100 ATR72-600 aircraft.
   Comprised by the LoI are firm orders for 35 ATR72-600, with options for a further 35 and purchase rights for another 35 aircraft.
   Deliveries of the first 35 aircraft will begin in 2020 and run up to 2025, and the delivery schedule is optimized to match actual market over the five-year period.
   With 70 airline customers in 50 countries, NAC currently manages a fleet of more than 500 aircraft including ATR 42, ATR 72, Bombardier Dash 8, CRJ900, CRJ1000, A220, E170, E175, E190 and E195 aircraft.
   By the start of 2019, Nordic Aviation Capital, NAC, officially took in GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, as a new shareholder as a venue to support NAC's growth ambitions by infusion of fresh capital.  
   After this transaction, NAC is now the fifth-largest leasing company in the world
