The Annual General Meeting on May 27, 2019, decided on a Board comprising only four members, with Salvador Moreno Gonzales Aller taking over the position as new Chairman of the Board replacing Goran Berglund who continues as Board member.
Salvador Moreno Gonzalez Aller is CEO of Air LUSAT, a holding company owning Swiftair and Aviation Leasing Spain, that is the new owner of West Atlantic.
Other members of the Board are Fernando Llorens, Swiftair Director Strategy & acquisitions, and Russell Smethwick, ATSG VP Corporate Development.
The earlier AGM in 2018 elected a six member Board including Lars Jordahn, who had served as the carrier's consultant in the ongoing implementation process of the Boeing 737-800 freighter program, Goran Berglund, Tony Auld, Joseph Payne, Russell Ladkin, and Anders Ehrling.
Lars Jordahn remains in the position as West Atlantic CEO since January 2019 when he replaced West Atlantic CEO since May 25, 2016, Fredrick Groth who stepped in at the 2016 Annual General Meeting held in the wake of a most turbulent period in the company's history as Gustaf Thureborn, CEO and President and in an executive position with the company since 1995, was abruptly relieved of his position
