Jun 14, 2019 (newstodate): On January 28, 2020, SAS will introduce the first of eight new Airbus A350 into long-haul service on the route between Copenhagen and Chicago.
After its delivery in late November 2019, SAS will operate the new aircraft in December 2019 and January 2020 for crew training flights on selected routes in Scandinavia.
SAS will base the new Airbus A350 in Copenhagen for flights on routes to Beijing, Chicago, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong and San Francisco.
As part the modernization of the short and long-haul fleet, SAS will also take delivery of 80 new Airbus A320neo, five Airbus A330 Enhanced, and three Airbus A321LR aircraft before the end of 2023.
