Jun 214, 2019 (newstodate): The Russian LCC Pobeda is preparing for launch of its first flight into the Baltic region.
Riga in Latvia will become the carrier's new destination with the first rotation between Moscow Vnukovo Airport and Riga Airport from July 2019, earlier slated for start from April 30, 2019, with three weekly rotations.
Now, plans are to launch two weekly rotations, going up six weekly flights from September 16, 2019, and later expanding to daily flights from October 1, 2019.
Earlier, Pobeda made its entry into the Nordic market with flights between Moscow Vnukovo Airport and Helsinki, in Finland, starting from October 5, 2018.
This route proved short-lived, however, as Pobeda soon pulled out again, with the last flight performed on January 31, 2019.
