Jun 19, 2019 (newstodate): Starting from June 15, 2019, Armenia Airways is now in the air on its first route between Yerevan and Tehran.
   The carrier has started out with offering four weekly rotations, going up to daily rotations from June 24, 2019, in competition with the Iranian carrier Mahan Air that is already offering seven weekly rotations on the route.  
   In the fleet is one BAE 146-300 aircraft based at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan and leased from the Romanian carrier Aviro Air in 2018.
   Also in the fleet are two Airbus A310-300 aircraft leased from its former operator Tarom.
   Founded in 2016, Armenia Airways obtained its AOC in July 2018
