Jun 26, 2019 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ACMI and charter carrier GetJet Airlines has now taken delivery of three more Airbus aircraft, bringing the fleet to a total of 17 aircraft.
The latest addition, comprising three Airbus A319 aircraft, is delivered on a lease contract with GECAS and joins a fleet including four Boeing 737-400, two Boeing 737-300, six A320, and one wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft.
Set up in 2011 and based at Vilnius Airport, GetJet Airlines received its own AOC in 2016, starting business as an aircraft brokering company, but now focusing on charter and ACMI contracts for its aircraft fleet, with IOSA certification completed on January 7, 2018.
Besides the jet aircraft fleet, GetJet Airlines also added one Pilatus PC-12 aircraft earlier in 2019, but has so far not made any announcement concerning the role of this new acquisition.
