Jun 17, 23019 (newstodate): On December 12, 2018, Qatar Airways launched flights to its 5th destination in the Nordic region: Gothenburg in Sweden.
From the start, Qatar Airways has offered five weekly rotations on the route with Boeing 787-8 aircraft, also adding up to 20 tonnes of new cargo capacity to the market.
Industry sources now claim that the carrier will be announcing an increase in frequency starting from November 2019, going up to daily rotations building on the positive and strong response in the market for the new service.
In the cargo market, Qatar Airways is serving industrial customers in the region of Gothenburg - an important industrial and business center with the largest port in the Nordic countries, but also exporters of Norwegian salmon to Africa, Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand via Doha Hamad International Airport.
