Jun 17, 2019 (newstodate): Germany has now confirmed its ban on all flights by the Iranian carrier Mahan Air into Germany.
Last week, a court sustained an earlier ban, issued in January 2019, on Mahan Air to operate flights between Tehran and ruled against a grace period for ending the flights to Munich and Dusseldorf.
Germany is thus following the US stance since 2011 that Mahan Air has performed illegal flight operations in support of terrorist groups in the Middle East, primarily by flying volunteers, materiel and fighters into Syria.
Mahan Air has been operating on routes to Germany since 2001, with Transnautic Aircargo Agency serving as its cargo GSAA.
