Jun 03, 2019 (newstodate): Estonia is to see the launch of a new air link to Georgia.
Starting from June 27, 2019, the Latvian charter and ACMI carrier SmartLynx will be operating charter flights on a new route connecting Tallinn with Batumi, on Georgia's Black Sea coast near the border to Turkey.
The flights package comprises four once-weekly rotations to be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, with the last flight on July 18, 2019.
Another Georgian destination, Kutaisi, is already connected with Baltic destinations by Wizz Air from Riga in Latvia since March 25, 2018, and from Vilnius, in Lithuania, since March 31, 2014.
And starting from August 4, 2019, Wizz Air will also be introducing scheduled flights to Kutaisi from Tallinn Airport.
The Latvian carrier airBaltic has been serving the route between Riga and Tbilisi, the Georgian capital, since May 3, 2006.
